16th May 2004 - Scott gets his first hits in Glasgow wins, and recieves Man of match award!!! Against the Strathclyde Falcons Scott hit his first single - and his first double - for the Barnsley Strikers. His hits came with Barnsley down and badly needing runs, helping the Strikers to overcome the Falcons for wins in both games. A good glove at first also helped produce errorless baseball, earning him the man of the match award.
19th April 2004 - Scott signs for the Barnsley Strikers The Barnsley Strikers are pleased to announce the signing of Scott Sparrow.

 

The Player

Scott has already demonstrated his excellent fielding skills in pre-season. Barnsley hope he will play a vital role at first base and behind the plate this year, and once he gets used to the level of pitching in this league hope he will be a solid bat able to drive in the middle of the order.
