1st May 2005 - An unfortunate start to the 2005 season saw the Strikers lose 8 - 18 to the Manchester A's. Highlights were few and far between, but included three double plays by the A's, and a good pitching display from both Chris Hewitt and Kris Allott of the Strikers... who's defence will hopefully back them up better in two weeks time - away against Halton.

16th May 2004 - Thank you to the Strathclyde Falcons for their hospitality and baseball, it was worth the journey to play two great games. To The Notorious Nine, well done. We couldn't have asked for a better day and two well deserved results. Congrats to all for playing. I would love to say you can have next week off but you've no chance!!!! (Webmaster) The Man of the Match has been given to three players for the trip to Glasgow (yes - that is a third of the team!), congratulations to the great pitching performances of Tony , and Kris Allott in games one and two respectively, and a great fielding and hitting display by Scott Sparrow in both games. O... and I suppose we must tell everyone that Steve Bennet reached base in every at-bat during the second game and all but one in the first game (there were some errors in there Steve!), I would've kept it quite but for some weird reason Strathclyde thought it deserved a mention, so I will have to acknowledge it! 9th May 2004 - Man of the Match against Bolton Brewers was Tony Allott.

2nd May 2004 - Man of the Match against Sheffield Bladerunners was Chris Hunton.

25th April 2004 - Man of the Match against Hull baseball Club 2 was Alan Bowers. No surprise really after umpiring the entire game at home plate. Congrats and Thank You from the Barnsley Strikers.

17th/18th April 2004 - The busiest of pre-season weekends will see an "eventful" Barnsley night out on saturday, followed by their final pre-season friendly against the Manchester Eagles, starting at 2 p.m.

4th April 2004 - Thanks to Manchester for hosting our first pre-season game in 2004, despite the awful weather! Highlights included a limping 3 run shot by Kris Allott, a first-ever-hit in his first-ever-game for Chris Crews, and the superb play of the day by Steven Harrison, his first ever possible out in what was also his first ever baseball game. 21st January 2004 - For the first time in Barnsley Strikers history, we will be playing all our home games outside the South Yorkshire town, having recently decided to ground share with the Sheffield Bladerunners. 12th June 2003: New Download Area

I've added a new page to the Misc Menu. Downloads. Anything of interest for downloading can be found there. There isn't much in it at the moment but I'll see what I can do.

9th June 2003: New Team Photo in the Gallery

5th June 2003: Website gets an addition.

There have been a few minor changes to the website. There is now a League standings page which you can get to via the menu. The Stats menu has also been changed slightly. Hope you like em.

3rd June 2003: Barnsley Striker Player gets mobile

Congratulations to Richard Hill for passing his driving test. Now we all know what that means... Sunday morning driving is now not safe around the Shaw Lane vicinity. You have all been warned!!!!!

6th May 2003: Barnsley Strikers Webpage

Some amendments have been made to the website. A few of note are the new link in The Team menu - The Game Reports and the newly added drop shadow to the menu. Hope you all like it.

10th April 2003: BBF Website

Batting and pitching stats have yet to be updated but I will get round to it. Any suggestions will be warmly welcomed.

There has also been an addition to the Links page where you can submit your own links. If you want something adding just fill it in and I'll check it out and post accordingly.
